Salmon Defense has created a “Cover the Patagonia Logo” campaign to raise awareness about the importance of hatcheries and hatchery production in Washington State. Patagonia produced a misguided documentary bashing hatcheries and filled with fallacies. They went as far as to misappropriate tribal voices from the Nisqually Tribe and Lummi Nation, and they even compared our hatcheries to Atlantic salmon farming.

We have created a few iconic Salmon Defense pins to raise awareness of the importance of hatchery production (both tribal and state) instead of asking to toss their gear in the garbage. We will need hatchery production in the State of Washington until we can fully restore salmon habitat.
